The following alternatives are available to help households to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle your textile waste locally and nationally.

Repairing items such as clothes and shoes, rather than throwing them away, helps to reduce waste and save resources.

Hiring items that you only wear occasionally, such as morning suits, dress suits, ball gowns, kilts and fancy dress costumes, can help to avoid textile waste.

Donating clothes, shoes, bed linen and other textiles to charity allows them to be reused or recycled.
