Aberdeen Forward
Aberdeen Forward was established in 1999, to help reduce the amount of waste going to the city’s landfill sites. Aberdeen Forward has been able to develop and support a number of innovative waste management projects. Money has gone direct to the community to help deliver a range of initiatives such as furniture recycling, environmental workshops and a trial of animal bedding made from waste paper.

PUT Community Co-operative
PUT (Pitmedden, Udny, Tarves Community Co-operative) is a not-for-profit group run by volunteers and supported by Aberdeenshire Council. It aims to help divert garden waste from landfill in the Tarves and Udny parishes by recycling garden waste at Mill of Allathan Quarry outside Pitmedden.
